PETER Shaw braved extremely warm conditions to win the Dubai Creek BMW August medal.

Peter put together a gross 77 (net 71) to beat his nearest challenger Bharat Godkhindi on a countback.

Both Division A players, there was not much in it however, Peter’s two over par back nine confirmed his medal prize with Bharat having to settle for second place.

Best gross of the day was won by Chris Davis who shot a 73, with bogeys on the 6th and 7th holes being his only mistake.

Division B saw medal regular, J.M. Hwang take first place with a net 71. His steady round was boosted with a great par on the 18th giving him the one shot advantage over second placed Nawaf Fawaz.

However, it was the Junior Division that really saw some hot scoring to match the temperature.

Current Club Champion Joel Neale stormed the field with his gross 70, a net 67 to win the title in his division. Birdies on the 3rd, 10th and 16th holes offset bogies on the fourth and sixth, giving Joel another clear victory at Dubai Creek.
