MATTHEW Turner showed his class again when he came from behind to win the 6th Emirates Summer Open by a shot from his closest rival Joel Neale of Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club.

The big-hitting duo then traded birdies on the Par 5-10th hole and then both bogeyed the 11th hole. Turner then applied the pressure on the difficult 12th hole with a birdie three to Neale's bogey five to close the gap.
A catastrophic double bogey seven on the Par 5 13th hole cost Neale dearly as Turner made yet another birdie, however the tournament was far from over as a bogey five on the 16th hole for Turner and a birdie three for Neale left the pair level with two holes to go.
Neale then faltered on the 17th hole with a bogey five as Turner secured a solid par four to leave Turner one shot ahead with one hole to play. Both players were not backing off as they both birdied the final hole and it was Turner who emerged the champion by a single shot
Turner's total of 144 and Neale's of 145 left the ever-consistent Khalid Yousuf in third place with a respectable 148 total. Defending champion Miki Mirza finished fourth with a 36-hole total of 149.
