DUBAI — Nasha Sarkari moved atop the Emirates Golf Federation’s Ladies Order of Merit table after herback-to-back victories in the recent Al Ghazal Ladies Open and RAK Ladies Opentournaments.
The talented golfer from Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club carded a 36-hole gross score of 163 to winthe Al Ghazal Open in Abu Dhabi, beating her nearest rival Lizette Breytenbach by one shot with Teresa Park finishing third on a gross 167. Nasha kept up her dominance at the fourth RAK Ladies Open aswell, winning the prestigious event at Al Hamra Golf Club (AHGC) with a fine36-hole gross score of 165, a staggering eight strokes ahead of second-placed Nanna Nielsen. With these impressive performances, Nasha has taken herOrder of Merit (gross) tally to a whopping 60 points, well ahead of Abu DhabiGolf Club’s Sarah Morris (25.5). Emirates Golf Club’s Nanna Nielsen and Lizette Breytenbach of Al Ghazal Golf Club share the third place with 24 points. Nasha, who plays off a decent seven handicap, also leads the Order of Merit table in the net division with 35.5 points. The young prodigy finished fifth at Al Ghazal Golf Club with a net 147 and seventh in the RAKOpen with a net 151. Jane Kelly, the winner of the net division title at Al Ghazal Golf Club, and Aminata Watts who took the net title at the RAK Open, are tied for second place in the Order of Merit table with 30 points each. The next event on the EGF Ladies Order of Merit is the Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club Ladies Open that will be played on March 12-13.
